Splash Montana, What to Know Before You Go
Splash Montana is such a great way to beat the beat (and wear out your kids) during hottest months of the year. But there seems to be some post-covid confusion about when you can visit.
Splash Montana has two open swim sessions per day for 2023, Monday-Friday 11am-3pm & 3:30-7:30pm* and Saturdays and Sundays 11am-2pm & 2:30pm-5:30pm.
*during the month of July, Splash Montana will close at 7pm and host “Adult Nights” from 7:30pm-9:30pm.
Capacity is limited to 800 people per sessions, which doesn’t seem to be an issue this year, but the line to get in can be a little daunting on hot dates.
Local tip: Pre-purchase swimming punch cards for residents that are good at both Splash and Currents. Not only do you get to skip the line and scan yourself right in, you save a few dollars too!
Missoula’s favorite (and only) outdoor water park does occasionally have to close due to cooler weather or rain. For weather updates call 406-542-WAVE (9283) and don’t forget our indoor pool, Currents Aquatics Center is open Monday-Saturday from 12 - 6 p.m.
A few other tips: outside food and beverages are not permitted (besides water), but staff are really understanding if you are bringing in items for a young child or due to dietary restrictions. However, the food is surprising good, both the pizza and the “walking tacos” are big hits, and of course dippin’ dots ice cream is the best way to end a day of swimming.
